No, DP Ruto has not disowned Senator Sakaja

The TikTok video, in which a voice purported to be Deputy President William Ruto questions Sakaja’s academic credentials and says he should not be Nairobi’s governor, has been edited. The video is taken at a Kenya Kwanza rally in Bungoma County on June 17, 2022.

In the original footage, Dr. Ruto defends Sakaja over his degree drama and challenges Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga to show his academic credentials.
