To arrive to this conclusion, the iVerify Network of Fact-Checking Desks has conducted the following process. We reversed imaged the photo and established, that the photo of armored police vehicles was taken on January 31, 2016 at the GSU headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi. The image was first shared in an article by Kenyans.co.ke on February 1, 2016, when President Uhuru Kenyatta provided the police service with the vehicles to aid in the fight against crime. On February 2, 2016, Nairobi Wire published an article with photos of the vehicles.

We determined that the photo of the police water truck was taken near Ambank House on University Way using Google Earth Pro.

Further, through reverse image search, we discovered the police water truck was first shared on July 17, 2017 in an article by Tuko.co.ke, when the trucks were deployed ahead of the election in a number of locations and counties where violence was highly likely to erupt.
