No, a Nigerian man has not joined President-Elect William Ruto’s legal team

False

The image of a man claiming to be of a Nigerian Igbo man who has arrived in Nairobi to join the legal team of President-elect William Ruto’s defense is, in fact, a man who was arrested in 2018 fifteen years after allegedly acting as counsel, Chris Elisha, at the Ojo Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State.

On August 26, 2022, President-Elect Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition unveiled a team of 54 lawyers and five technical members to battle the election petitions challenging his August 9th election victory, but the Nigerian Igbo man is not among them.
