The COTU Boss, Francis Atwoli, has not publicly stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta secretly supported President-Elect William Ruto. In a past video shared on social platform on August 16 Atwoli addressed the media following Ruto’s victory and he denied that he would resign following the victory.

On March 9, 2018 President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga put their differences aside and united through a “Handshake”. Uhuru and Ruto have continued to trade accusations against each other in regards to their second term in office.
