No, the Azimio Coalition has not called for support for the LGBTQ community

False

The statement claiming that the Azimio Coalition is rallying support for the LGBTQ community is fake. Despite the fact that it is said to have been written by Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Spokesperson Makau Mutua, it has not been shared on his or the ODM Party’s social media accounts.

The statement was deemed false by ODM Party Director of Communications Philip Etale.

Prior to this statement, on March 2, 2023, opposition Leader Raila Odinga criticized the Supreme Court ruling that granted the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community the right to form a lobby group, claiming that the five-judge bench had overstepped its mandate in upholding non-existent laws.
