No, Wiper leader Kalonzo has not withdrawn from Azimio’s Monday demonstrations.

False

The photo that has been circulating on social media platforms claiming that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has withdrawn from Azimio’s March 20, 2023 demonstrations and is currently outside the country is false and misleading.

The photo of the Wiper leader with Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo was taken in Germany in 2017 during Kalonzo’s visit.

The iVerify Network of Fact-Checking Desks has fact-checked this content and established that it is False.

To arrive to this conclusion, the iVerify Network of Fact-Checking Desks has conducted the following process. We conducted a reverse image search and discovered that the said photo was taken and shared on Facebook by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on November 30, 2017, where he thanked Governor Mutula for paying him a visit in Germany.

We also discovered a statement posted on Twitter on March 18, 2023 by Paloma Gatabaki, Communications Lead of the Kalonzo Command Centre, denying the reports and stating that the Ukambani kingpin will participate in the March 20 mass action.
