Azimio la Umoja party leader Raila Odinga assured his supporters that anti-government protests would continue. On March 27, 2023, he began the second round of anti-government protests by leaving the ODM party offices in Lavington and traveling to Nairobi’s Kawangware, where he addressed the residents.
This assurance came slightly more than two hours after the planned protests failed to take off as planned. The opposition announced on March 24, 2023 that anti-government protests would take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
